MULANGO Valentine K. code named by most friends and colleagues as “Le Jeun DP” hails from Kumba, the food basket of the South West Region of Cameroon and capital of Meme Division. The Publisher of The Source Newspaper (http://thesourcecameroon.webs.com/) has had a pretty rich career both in broadcast and print journalism. Mulango is said to have started radio broadcast while in form three (2002) at Ocean City Radio in Kumba. In 2004 at Lake Site Radio (LSR), in the same town, he and others conceptualized the first ever youth programme “Young and Strong” which today is still hitting the air waves. He deserted the programme in late 2006 as coordinator to Calvary Goodnews Radio (CGR) Kumba where he is said to have revitalized the news desk there. In the print world, in late 2009, Mulango became Kumba Bureau Chief Correspondent for Feedback News Magazine. His scintillating style of writing attracted and compelled the publisher of the Vanguard Newspaper, Chifu Edward to appoint him as Kumba Bureau Chief. On the 9th of January 2011 when Mulango relocated to Yaounde for further studies, he was again appointed Yaoundé Bureau Chief for the Vanguard. Le Jeun DP has equally been a social contributor to The Spokesman newspaper in Yaoundé. He is presently studying journalism at the Siantou University Complex. He is also the current Chief of Service for Diplomacy and Institutions of the university’s annual magazine, “Plume Des Majors.”
